El Campo de Cartagena has been a land of windmills for more than six centuries. Our windmills are of the Mediterranean type with Latin sails, the hallmark of our culture. The walk starts at the hermitage, a rustic construction that houses the venerated Virgin of "El Pasico" inside. It is a natural icon of Mary that enjoys great devotion among the inhabitants of the area, who are used to offer her carnations. Next, a visit to the protagonist of this route is the mill of "El Pasico" which dates back to 1844 and was used to grind cereal.
