Inaugurated in 2011, it is, according to the authors of the project (Javier Martínez and his team), a building whose protagonist is emptiness. The “unoccupied” space creates a large square, consisting of the Day Centre, where white is the undisputed protagonist.
From the square, the town hall is easily accessible through a large opening that invites you to enter the hall through the glass. The street pavement penetrates the entrance hall and the courtyards as an extension of the square until it reaches the Plenary Hall.
On the inside, the double heights of the hall and its natural sunlight generate a sense of transparency and verticality that communicates spatially with the floors of the consistory. This makes orientation very easy.
The usefulness of the main facade stands out, since it becomes a large screen where films are projected.
