The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, accompanied by the Councillor for Festivities and the President of the Brotherhood of San Isidro, Francisco Boluda, have presented the traditional Fiestas of San Isidro 2024, which will take place in Cehegín on the 18th and 19th of May.

Saturday is set to be one of the most important days, marked by the popular gathering in the streets, where hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets dressed in typical huertano costume. In addition, popular gastronomic gatherings of rice and migas will be held, as well as the outstanding concentration of floats and the Pilgrimage with San Isidro, which will depart from the Convent of San Esteban at 6 pm.

The Mayor expressed her deep gratitude to the Brotherhood of San Isidro Labrador for their dedication to keeping our roots and traditions alive. She also highlighted the work carried out by the Concejalía de Festejos, directed by Lolo García.

In addition, the Mayor invited all cehegineros, cehegineras and visitors to join us in these days of joy, music and culture. It is a time to proudly celebrate our rich agricultural heritage and reaffirm the value of our deep-rooted traditions.
