The Festival del Cante de las Minas has been held uninterruptedly since 1961. Every August it brings together the most acclaimed flamenco singers, guitarists and dancers, as well as other promising young or emerging artists who long to achieve the coveted Lámpara Minera, or any other of the prestigious prizes awarded by this event, which are a great springboard for their careers.
