Alfonso Escudero
1973, Murcia-Texas. Lives and works in Murcia and Berlin. Escudero's work tackles how the relationship between art and advertising pervades our culture. He imagines new proposals which merge, interact and adopt the conceptual and visual possibilities generated by such relationships in mutual communication. Escudero reflects on the language, the meaning and the communication channels in society, in works which operate in the realms of reality, melting into it, but nonetheless differentiated from it through their artistic intent. He has exhibited in La Sala Naranja (Valencia 2007), Centro Párraga (Murcia 2008), CAMON (Alicante 2009) and Bethanien (Berlin 2009), as well as in the international art fairs Arco'98 (Madrid) and LINEART'02 (Ghent, Belgium), the international Hermandades Escultóricas biennials (Mérida, Yucatán, México) and the festivals AlterArte and Espirelia (Murcia).
